The London Book Festival is an annual competition honoring books
worthy of greater attention from the international publishing community.
Entries can be in English, Spanish, French, Portuguese
or Italian. Competition winners receive cash and a
flight to London for our awards ceremony.
the New York Book Festival is an annual
competition and day festival celebrating books worthy of
greater attention in the world publishing capital. The
event features an awards ceremony and a day festival
featuring author readings, vendors, live music,
children’s entertainment and food. Attendees can enjoy
the event while taking in the serenity and beauty of New
York’s Central Park.
The
Beach Book Festival is a Spring event that touts the
hottest reads of the upcoming summer season. The event
offers cash and travel to an exotic beach location, plus
a publicity campaign for the winning author so that
summer sales are maximized.
The DIY Convention: Do It Yourself in Film, Music & Books is dedicated to teaching authors, musicians,
filmmakers and entertainment entrepreneurs to create, distribute, protect and market their independent film,
music, books and digital media. The event features performance and screening opportunities, panel discussions,
workshops, special events and parties and is held in various cities throughout the year, concluding each February
in Los Angeles with our grand finale show and awards. Past speakers include Darryl “DMC” McDaniels, Jonatha Brooke,
Pat DiNizio, John Waite, Frank Black, Peter Himmelman, Chris Vrenna and Derek Sivers,
the founder of CD Baby.
The Hollywood
Book Festival focuses attention on books worthy of further consideration by the film, TV,
video game and multimedia communities and spotlights the contributions of celebrity authors
to the book publishing industry.
The event includes an awards ceremony and day festival featuring celebrity appearances, music,
author readings and vendor opportunities. Last year’s appearances included Evan Handler
from “Sex and the City,” actress Heather Thomas, a reading from “Three’s Company” actress
Joyce DeWitt and a panel discussion featuring celebrity tell-all authors Mike Walker from
the National Enquirer (“Get Real”), Henrietta Tiefenthaler (“Train Wreck”), Eric Dubin
(“The Star Chamber”) and more.

the Charts was one of the first sites offering interactive discussions of the world
of music and other art beyond the mainstream.

Reporter is a subscription site that serves the DIY Convention community with reviews, features,
